My last day in France this time around ……..we walked through the town and saw a christening celebration…what a powderpuff of a costume for this little gal, I’m sure the photos of this event will stay with her FOREVER!, poor kid…then a lovely patisserie, where I purchased some macaroons for Diana back in London.
The town contains two statues of Cyrano de Bergerac, subject of a famous play of the same name by Edmond Rostand, though the actual Cyrano never lived in Bergerac. I captured the newer statue, unusual in that it is painted in colour and stands on a stainless steel pedestal, has been erected on Place Pelissiere. A lovely art installation of plants growing out of a dresser as well in a nearby garden…and then we have lunch…mine being the ‘brochette’ of chicken. YUMM!
